Summer 2

Week 4

This week in Art, Year 5 made their sculptures from looking at their final designs, in the style of the artist, Clarice Cliff. Next week, they will paint these once they have dried, ensuring they include geometric patterns, taking inspiration from the Art Deco era.

Week 3:

Sports Week Fun!

On Tuesday, our pupils had a fantastic time taking part in Sports Week activities. We were so proud of their enthusiasm, teamwork and effort throughout the day.

A huge thank you to all the parents and family members who came along to support the children and join in with the activities. Your involvement helped make the day extra special!

Week 2:

This week in Geography, Year 5 have been learning all about deserts. We explored the location of both hot and cold deserts around the world and used Google Maps to identify where they can be found. We focused particularly on the Mojave Desert, investigating its physical features, such as its landscape and climate, as well as the human features found there. The children produced informative fact files about the Mojave Desert and demonstrated excellent map-reading skills when locating deserts across the globe using online maps.

Week 1

Pupils were feeling refreshed and eager to jump in to our new English text, 'Welcome to the School of Wizardry', a persuasive advert enticing budding witches and wizards to join a wonderful school where they can hone their magical skills and abilities.

Pupils sunk their teeth into text mapping - the last of the year! - and loved the drama hook lesson.
