Bare Trees Primary School

Non-Core

Very soon you will be starting Reception, how exciting! It can sometimes seem scary and overwhelming but school is a fun, loving place.

It's so important to start our day with a healthy breakfast before we come to school. This stops us from getting hungry before lunch and gives us lots of energy for completing work and playing.

Task 1

With your adults, explore your kitchen and find some food you as a family like to eat for breakfast.

Tell your adult what you favourite food is for breakfast and why it's your favourite.

Is it healthy?

Task 2

Look at the different pictures of breakfasts below, can your child name any of the food in the pictures?

Discuss with your child which foods would be a good option for breakfast.

Why would it be good for breakfast? Is it healthy?

Ask your child which healthy breakfasts they would like to try and why.

Remember, it's so important to come to school after eating a healthy, yummy breakfast so you are ready to start the day.
