Task One

Task One

Literacy

Activity: Read the sentence and draw a picture to match the sentence.

How to do it:  Ask your child to read the sentence and draw a picture to match the sentence.  Remember to Fred talk unfamiliar words.

  • A cat is on a mat.
  • The fish is big.
  • The cup is red.

If you find it tricky: Draw a picture to match the word

  • cat
  • mat
  • Cup

If your child is finding it tricky to read the word, ask them to say the sounds and you can help them to blend back together the word.

Challenge: Can you improve Miss Williams’ sentences? Write the sentence out, this time can you add a describing word to improve the sentence. Then draw a picture to illustrate your sentence.
