The children in Year 4 have been taking part in Heartstart Club.

Heartstart teaches the children basic first aid and how to look after someone who has had an accident.

Over this half term they have learnt, how to call 999 in an emergency, how to put someone in the recovery position, how to treat a serious bleed, how to help someone having a suspected heart attack and how to help someone who is choking. 

 

The children have really enjoyed taking part in Heartstart and we hope they will be confident if they ever have to help anyone in an emergency.
