Online Safety

Welcome to your online safety page

All children at Bare Trees Primary School use the internet on a regular basis as part of their learning. In school, we have regular online safety lessons to remind you of the importance of staying safe whilst using the internet. This page will be updated with ways to keep you safe when online. If you have any worries, you can visit this page and find out who can help you.

At school we have security measures in place to help keep you safe. This means we can block things on the internet that may upset you. Your internet at home may not have the same safety settings. You should always speak to a trusted adult about anything that upsets you on the internet.

At school we follow the SMART rules to help remind us how to stay safe. Please use this page to help you find information or support.

What is online safety?

This is is the safe use of the internet for gaming and communication. It includes devices such as laptops, tablets, smartphones and games consoles. It is important that you and your family understand the benefits, risks and responsibilities of using and sharing information online.

NATIONAL ONLINE SAFETY

We also highly recommend National Online Safety to parents and carers. You can get free information downloads from their website (www.nationalonlinesafety.com) or follow them on FacebookInstagram or YouTube for up to date and regular advice and guidance.
