Safeguarding Information
Bare Trees Primary School is a safe place and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils and their families. We promote an open and positive culture of safeguarding throughout the whole school and we will always act in the best interest of the child. We expect all staff and visitors to share these values.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. We take all concerns seriously and encourage children to talk to adults when they are worried. All staff are trained to support and protect our pupils and families.
The Governors of Bare Trees Primary School ensure that the school carries out its statutory duties in relation to Safeguarding and Child Protection.
If you have any questions or need any support, please contact school on 0161 503 4260 and ask to speak to Mrs Turner in the first instance.
Speak Out Stay Safe
This year we have delivered the NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe programme.
Speak out Stay safe is a safeguarding programme for children aged 5- to 11-years-old. It is available to all primary schools in the UK and Channel Islands. It helps children understand:
- abuse in all its forms and how to recognise the signs of abuse
- that abuse is never a child’s fault and they have the right to be safe
- where to get help and the sources of help available to them, including our Childline service.
- Please follow this link if you would like more information on the programme. NSPCC Speak out Stay safe link
School Systems
Within school we use the online safeguarding system CPOMS to log and monitor any safeguarding concerns or incidents. Many schools use the CPOMS system and information recorded there can transfer with pupils when they move to another school.
