Safeguarding

Bare Trees Primary School is a safe place.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils and their families. We expect all staff and visitors to share these values.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and all staff are trained to support and protect our pupils and families. We take all concerns seriously and encourage children to talk to adults when they are worried.

We will always act in the best interest of the child.

School has 5 Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) who have the special job of ensuring that all pupils and staff are safe. These staff are:

  • Miss Oldham (Headteacher)
  • Miss Cowap (Deputy Headteacher)
  • Mrs Boswell (Assistant Headteacher)
  • Mrs Doherty (Designated Teacher for Children who are Looked After/SENDCo)
  • Mrs Turner (Safeguarding, Attendance, and Welfare Lead)

We also have 2 other members of Pastoral staff who support the safety and wellbeing of pupils, they are:

  • Mrs Johnson (Senior Pastoral Officer)
  • Miss Bunn (Pastoral Officer)

The Governors of Bare Trees Primary School ensure that the school carries out its statutory duties in relation to Safeguarding and Child Protection.

If you have any questions or need any support, please contact school on 0161 503 4260 and ask to speak to Mrs Turner in the first instance.

School Systems

Within school we use the online safeguarding system CPOMS to log and monitor any safeguarding concerns or incidents. Many schools use the CPOMS system and information recorded there can transfer with pupils when they move to another school.
