Activity: focus sound today is v

How to do it: Sat the sound v and say ‘down the wing up the wing’. Children practise writing this sound. Fred talk these words.

The aim is for the children to blend those sounds and be able to say the word. 

Spelling: The children can have a go at writing the words. Say the word vet. Ask how many sounds in that word, hold up your fred fingers. Say the word vet and pinch the sounds on your fingers. Children have a go at writing that word down. Repeat process for words with v in.
