This term, our theme is Terrific Tales. In this theme, we will be looking at different traditional tales for example, Gingerbread Man, Little Red Riding Hood, Three Billy Goats Gruff and Goldilocks.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

The children enjoyed designing and building a bridge for the Billy Goats to watch over. The children used different materials to build their bridges.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

While learning about Goldilocks and the Three Bears, cheeky Goldilocks stole porridge from Forest School and their recipe. The Forest School team tasked us with learning how to make porridge. They then invited us down to Forest School to teach them. 

The reception followed a recipe by Jamie Oliver. We made porridge together and decided on our choice of porridge topping. Below, you can see us testing the porridge. 

The children were then tasked with writing a recipe so we could teach Mr. Wild from the Forest School team. Below, you can see the children giving Mr. Wild instructions on how to make porridge.
