In Year 2 we had a Diwali Theme Day.
We learnt all about the story of Rama and Sita and how they fought the evil king Ravana. The children re wrote the stories in English and they tried to use expanded noun phrases to describe the characters.
In Maths we learnt about Rangoli patterns and why Hindus put them near their front doors.
Using 2D shapes, the pupils made their own Rangoli patterns.
