Europe - Viva Espana (Current)
Our local area and beyond
Year 4 have been developing their map skills using local maps of Chadderton and atlases showing Europe.
They have enjoyed using digital and aerial view maps to identify buildings and road names during a walk to our local park. Whilst at the park, the children observed physical and human features such as the River Irk and the playground. When they returned to school, they created their own sketch maps of our local park.
Viva Espana

Year 4 have enjoyed exploring Europe using atlases. They have focused on Spain and completed research about life in Spain. The children have looked at the seasonality of foods and considered where different foods grow. They then prepared and cooked their very own 'Spanish Rice'. It was delicious!
