To start off the new theme Watch it Grow we went to the Forest School room to plant sunflower and pea seeds. Mr Wild showed us a plant which had already grown and we looked at the features of the plant. The children followed the instructions set out by Mr Wild to plant their seeds. We can't wait to see them growing. Mr Wild is putting the plants into the polytunnel in the garden to help the seeds to grow. 

World Book Day 2022

We had so much fun on World Book Day. Look at some of our costumes. During the day we went on a Gruffalo Trail, Miss Gorman read the story to the children. The children looked for the different characters in the story in our Outdoor area. 

Another focus during our topic Watch it Grow was the changing seasons. Mr Wild took us on a tour around the outdoor area to find signs of Spring. Take a look at what we found. 

The Reception boys and girls explored the outdoor environment using their senses: sight, touch, taste, smell and hear. Our final destination was the sensory garden. Here we were able to smell and touch lavender.
