Space
During the first half of spring term, our topic was all about 'Space'. The children learnt about when Neil Armstrong landing on the moon, the first woman in space, the first British astronaut to visit the space station and the first dog in Space. In history lessons, children asked and answered questions about the first landing on the moon and how space travel has changed over time. Children created a timeline of space travel.
In science, the children have been looking at the 5 senses and what body parts it relates too. They looked at the foods astronauts eat and tasted and smelt them.
Our Rockets!
The children also enjoyed making their own rockets in design and technology. They made sure the rockets were strong, stiff and sturdy.
