St. George's Day
On Monday 23rd April it was St. George's Day. Pupils were invited to come into school wearing red and white, the colours of the England Flag, to celebrate this day. We honoured this day with a special whole school assembly which included singing our national anthem and learning about why we celebrate St. George's Day. A child in each year group was also awarded for particularly standing out and showing our British values. Leticia was awarded our Year 3 Superstar for her tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs, well done for your understanding and respect of different faiths and always asking brilliant questions!
In the afternoon we enjoyed a great game of 'George and the Dragons' in our PE lesson. In classes, we also read the story of 'George and the Dragon' and created some fantastic art work and information texts about St. George.
