Year 1 Eureka Trip
In Year 1 this half term we were very lucky to go on our Trip. The Year 1 children went to Eureka in Halifax. What a packed enjoyable day we had. We arrived at Eureka greeted by an astronaut. Whilst we were there we learnt about living in Space. The children took part in many experiments to recreate what living in space would be like.
Then we had an opportunity to explore the Museum. We went upstairs to the gallery of ‘All about me’. In this gallery, the children could explore, how tall they are and how much they weigh. The children could explore the doctors, baby clinic, dentist and much more.
The children worked up an appetite but luckily it was dinner time. Some of us ate our dinner in our own part of the Café but Birch Tree were very lucky and ate on the train outside.
Then after dinner we were lucky enough to go and explore the Museum further. This is when we discovered a bank, Marks & Spencers, a garage, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. All the children had lots of fun and didn’t want to come back to school.
The children had a jam-packed day and the coach ride home and was very quiet.
All the Year 1 teacher were very impressed with the children’s behaviour; they were great ambassadors of Bare Trees Primary School.
