Start off with Speed Sound lessons every day using the link below.

Films will show at the times below and be available for 24 hours.

Reading 

 

Read The Basket and answer the given questions. 

Challenge 

Use the website 'World Stories' to read one of the texts with a family member. This website has stories written in 31 different languages. Which language will you choose? 

Writing 

 

Listen again to the poem 'The Magic Box' by Kit Wright. 

Challenge 1 

Can you perform the poem to your family? 

Use this video to help you with your performance. 

Challenge 2 

Make a magic box.

Find a shoe box or another cardboard box and decorate it. You could also draw it. 

How you can make it magical?

Perhaps it has eyes.

Maybe it looks like a dragon or a witch’s cottage.
What is the theme? Magical creatures or far away places. 

Try to decorate it so that it fits your theme.
