Reading 

Read The Farm and answer the given questions. 

Remember to read a text of your choice each day this week.

Which text will you choose? A newspaper, magazine, adventure story or a non-fiction text maybe? 

Where will you read your text? In bed, sat comfortable in your favourite seat or in your garden? 

Writing 

Choose a fiction text ebook from Oxford Owl (website below)

Look at the front cover. 

Make a prediction about the text only using the front cover? 

Use 'I wonder..' thoughts to help you.

Eg. I wonder who the characters are? I wonder where they are going? I wonder what the gist of the story is? I wonder what the problem of the story will be? 

Challenge 1 - Draw and label your prediction. 

Challenge 2 - Write your prediction into sentences. Remember to check they make sense. 

Challenge 3 - Write your prediction into sentences. Include noun phrases and suffix words. 

Remember to use the Language of Prediction - I think... I predict...

Music

Listen to a song of your choice.

• Do you like the song?
• What instruments can you hear? 
• What style of music is it?
• How is the song put together? Think about the intro, chorus, verses.
• Can you find and clap the pulse?
• Describe the tempo. 
• Create different movements to the pulse. E.g nod your head, stamp your feet, move your body.
• Can you sing along?
