Signs of Summer
Summer Clothing
This week in our topic lessons, the children enjoyed learning all about the seasons by sorting clothes into winter and summer categories. Using real-life items, they discussed what we wear to stay warm in winter and cool in summer.
Maths Fundamentals
We have been focusing on the matching an amount to the correct number.
Talk for writing- 's' plan
The children have been retelling the story Lucy and Tom at the Seaside by learning a five-sentence version to support sequencing and recall. Together, we created an ‘S’ plan to map out the key events, and the children helped come up with actions to accompany each part of the story, making it more interactive and memorable.
Our Holiday Adventures
Last week, we spent some time thinking and talking about the holidays we’ve enjoyed. During circle time, the children eagerly shared their favourite holiday memories with one another.
In the writing area, they brought those memories to life by drawing pictures of their holiday experiences.
Take a look at their wonderful creations!
