Activity:

Write a diary entry about something you enjoyed about yesterday.

How to do it:

Discuss with your child all the activities they did yesterday. 

What was your favourite activity?

Draw a picture in your blue book or on a clean piece of paper. 

Underneath the picture finish the sentence using the sentence starter,

Dear Diary, on Monday…..

Remember to use a capital letter, fingers spaces and a full stop. 

Write in the past tense as the activity has already happened.

If you find it tricky: 

Discuss with your child all the activities they did yesterday. 

What was your favourite activity?

Draw a picture of your favourite activity. 

Together label the picture.

Challenge: 

Explain to someone who has never done the activity how to do it. 

Remember to use full sentences and use the word words first, next after that and finally.
