Summer 1
Week 5 - PE Floor Skills - pupils have maintained balances and moving objects and have extended their learning quite impressively!
Week 4 -
Geography:
As part of our Geography and the subject 'Where does our food come from?' we have been exploring the advantages and disadvantages of buying from local venders e.g. greengrocers, farms, butchers and importing food from other countries.
We have looked at where our food comes from for our school dinners.
We visited the school allotment and saw that we are already growing garlic, potatoes, radishes, herbs and onions (very soon - tomatoes - watch this space). We discussed the volume and seasonality of food and the pro's and con's of this. Have a look at our lovely allotment!

Week 3 - Bolton Museum Trip
We had the most incredible time at Bolton Museum last week!
We were so very lucky to explore Ancient Egyptian artefacts and a tomb, with a real mummified person! Soon, we will be using this experience to learn about this civilisation, their traditions and achievements.
We also explored all of the Museum looking at Rocks, the Rock Cycle, the Earth and lots of incredible animals (taxidermy). Some animals were huge and breath-taking!
We visited the Aquarium and enjoyed looking at the fish from around the world. The River Stingray were very popular!

Week 2 - Geography: Pupils have learnt about responsible trading in Cote D'Ivoire in Africa. Finding out how farmers are given a fair price and supported in their cocoa production.

Week 1 - Children have completed some amazing bridge projects over the half term in preparation for our complex structures learning in Design and Technology. Well done!!
