This term, Reception have had a lot of fun planting sunflowers in our outdoor garden. First, they explored the life cycle of a flower and the key equipment needed to grow flowers. Then, they watch videos on how to plant seeds and wrote their own instructions on how to plant a sunflower. After, they collected the key equipment needed to plant their seeds and followed their instructions. The children used their fine motor skills to create holes in the soil to plant their seeds and took great care in watering their seeds regularly and watching their sunflower grow.
