Activity:

Write a diary entry about something you enjoyed about yesterday.

How to do it:

Discuss with your child what they are going to write as their diary entry today.

Today, think about activities they did yesterday they didn’t enjoy.

Draw a picture and write a sentence underneath.

Dear Diary, on Thursday …..

Remember to think about what you want to write before you start.

Ask your child to use full sentences to discuss why they didn’t like the activity. 

I didn’t like…………… because…………

If you find it tricky: 

Talk to your child about activities they did yesterday that they didn’t like.

Draw a picture of one of them  and label it together.

Ask your child to tell you using full sentences why they didn’t like it. 

I didn’t like………….because………...

Challenge: 

Write your diary entry and then write a sentence explaining why you didn’t like the activity.
