During the first half of the Autumn Term, the children focused on the topic of 'Space'. During our Art lessons the children used clay to make a sculpture. The children could make a new space suit for an astronaut or make an alien. The children enjoyed exploring clay and creating their own sculpture

During our Science lessons, Year 1 have been learning all about Seasons and Light and Dark, each week learning about a new season. All children contributed to a class display to explore the differences in each season. 

During the term we enjoyed an afternoon completing many different sporting activities arranged by the Year 6 children. Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed themselves, spending the afternoon outside on the Astro Turf. Thank you for Year 6 and their teachers for organising a fun afternoon!

The children have also been enjoying using our Computer Suite, the children have been learning to familiarise themselves with a keyboard and mouse. Below are some examples of the children’s work. 

We have had a very busy half term and are looking forward to the second half of the Autumn Term where we will be looking at the topic ‘Superheroes. We will also be having a Superhero themed week, celebrating Children in Need, Remembrance Day, Friendship Week and counting down to Christmas, preparing for our Christmas play.
