The children have enjoyed learning about the events of The Gunpowder Plot, how Guy Fawkes plan failed and why Bonfire Night is celebrated. The children used dictionaries to find out the meanings of new words, created word searches and acted out the events of the Gunpowder Plot.

The Gunpowder Plot
Andy Goldsworthy
The children enjoyed creating Bonfire Night sculptures in the style of Andy Goldsworthy's artwork. They searched for natural materials to use such as twigs, leaves, stones, grass and petals. They then worked in teams to create their Bonfire night scene.
