How to do it: Say the sound w and say down, up, down, up. Children practise writing this sound. Fred talk these words

Spelling: The children can have a go at writing the words. Say the word wet. Ask how many sounds in that word, hold up your fred fingers. Say the word wet and pinch the sounds on your fingers. Children have a go at writing that word down. Repeat process for words with w in.
