Reception

Welcome to Reception!

During their time in Reception, children will learn to become independent, resilient learners in a fun and exciting environment. Children will have the opportunity to explore both the indoor and outdoor environments, whilst building secure and happy friendships.

As parents/guardians, you are always welcome in school. Please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher if you have any questions or concerns. We host regular workshops and open sessions for parents and guardians and we look forward to seeing you there.

Have you seen the Kids' Zone? Play games and visit some cool websites. You can vote for your favourites!

The Reception Learning Landscape

A learning landscape that is open ended and offers children possibilities to follow their own pathways. The benefits of learning outside the classroom are endless. Being outside allows children to express themselves freely and unlike an indoor classroom, there aren’t any space constraints meaning children can jump, shout and explore to their hearts content. The sense of freedom playing outdoors brings is fantastic for a child’s development, both physically and mentally.
