Wellbeing Fair
Wellbeing Fair
9/2/24
We were proud to take part in Place2Be’s Children's Mental Health Week; a mental health awareness week that empowers, equips, and gives a voice to all children and young people in the UK. This year's theme was My Voice Matters.
My Voice Matters is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves. When we feel empowered, there is a positive impact on our wellbeing. Children who feel that their voices are heard and can make a difference have a greater sense of community and self-esteem. We want children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to be empowered to work together to create a positive change for their mental health and wellbeing.
During Children’s Mental Health Week, we want all children and young people to be able to say, and believe, "My voice matters." Throughout the week, the children took part in different discussions and activities linked to this year's topic.
On the Friday we hosted a Wellbeing Fair. The pupils created products throughout the week to support positive mental health; they were sold at the fair after school. There was other external agencies, such as Mahdlo, attending the fair sharing information on the services they offer. Take a look at the products the pupils created.
