Thank you to those parents who attended the Phonics Screening Check Retake meeting that took place on the 22nd May. For those who were unable to attend and/or for those looking for more information and guidance, please find the presentation shown at the meeting below alongside a video with more detail. I have also uploaded some words to practise reading. Please remember the skill is to decode, not memorise.

The Phonics Screening Check Retake is for Year 2 pupils who did not meet the required standard when they took the check in Year 1 and also for those were were absent for the check. Please work with your child at home to support them with their reading but please don't allow your child to worry over the check.
