Congratulations to Hawthorn as they are the winners of the attendance reward for this half term. They now have two electronic keyboards and a magnificent trophy to display in the classroom. Well done and keep it up!

This week for DT, Year 4 have been making mini greenhouses. We designed them and worked together to safely cut the pieces and join them together. We will use them in the school grounds to grow herbs for our baking.

This week we took part in British Science Week. The theme for 2025 was 'Adapt and Change.' In Year 4 we looked at how animals adapt in order to thrive in a particular environment. We researched animals from all around the world. During Soft Start this week some children designed a poster for a competition. Have a look at some examples of their work.

This week we celebrated International Mother Language Day. We learnt new words and phrases in lots of different languages. Year 4 were particularly proud of two of our children who taught Russian and Mandarin to all three classes!
