Spring 2 - Once Upon A Time...

This half term all of our learning will be based on these three stories:

Week 1:

This week we have been learning the traditional tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have really enjoyed listening to a song version of the story which is linked below. In our life skills lessons we found that Goldilocks had left a mess at the bears house and we needed to learn how to clean up all the messy porridge oats!

We had lots of fun learning to sweep the oats into a dustpan and then we were able to use the spray bottles and wipe the table clean.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears - Debbie and Friends

Another fun classic tale set to music by Debbie and Friends. Join Goldilocks on her adventure. Have fun singing and dancing along.

Week 2:

This week we have had a really busy week! We have created houses in DT for the Three Little Pigs. We will soon be testing them against the Big Bad Wolf. We have also celebrated World Book Day and dressed up as different characters. We read and completed activities based on the story 'Dear Zoo'.

Three Little Pigs - Debbie and Friends

A featured in the Fox hit series "24" in January 2010! Enjoy this classic tale with a new sound and a fun animation to go with it. This song is classic Debbie and Friends. Fun for the whole family.

Week 3:

This week we have been learning the story of 'The Three Little Pigs. We have been learning about the best material that the pigs need to use when building their house. We have been looking at repeated patterns in Maths we have been building pattern towers and using the bricks to print patterns. In our Life Skills lessons, we have been looking at setting the table and putting the knife and fork in the right place, this is leading up to us setting the table for a teddy bears picnic.

Week 4:

This week we have continued learning all about 'The Three Little Pigs'. We have made brick houses using duplo blocks and practiced stacking them up tall. We have also been learning about shapes. We have been looking at squares and triangles. We were even able to make houses out of these shapes!

Week 5:

This week we have been completing our learning all around the theme of Easter.

We had lots of fun creating fluffy chicks, counting easter eggs and creating easter pictures.
