Summer 2

WB: 07.07.2025- Music performance

This week Year 4 and four members of Year 5 performed for parents in a musical spectacular. We were able to show our parents what we have been learning all year both with the clarinets and with the songs we have learnt. What a great afternoon it was!

WB:30.06.2025- Castleshaw

This week Year 4 went on a field trip to Castleshaw to conduct some geography and some science investigations. We were interested to hear how the land around Castleshaw has been used both in the past and in the current day. We looked for minibeasts, caught frogs, went walking in the stream and then enjoyed an afternoon of orienteering.

WB:23.06.2025- International Mud Day

This Friday Year 4 took part in International Mud day. They discovered their arty side with mud painting on a canvas and then had a fantastic time having a turn on the mud slides. Our very own Mrs Chowdhury even took a turn on the mud slide!

WB:16.06.2025- Play with the Halle!

This week Year 4 had the honour of visiting the Bridgewater Hall to play alongside the world famous Halle Orchestra. Our theme was space and we blasted off in our rocket, visiting the planets Mars, Jupiter and Venus. We also stretched our vocal chords with two space themed songs. It was a great day!

WB:09.06.2025- Textures in the landscape

This week we have been looking for man-made and natural textures within our school grounds. We took photos and rubbings of the textures we found and tried to replicate them in our art books.
