Summer 1

Week 5

This week the children have been learning about time, using these clocks to help them in visualising o'clock, half past, quarter past, quarter to and telling the time to 5 minutes.

Week 4

This term in our writing we have been learning how to write an instructional text. This week we have started to plan and write our independent piece about how to build a bird feeder. As a classes we made one from an Orange and other materials and hung it in the playground. Hopefully we see some feathered friends using them.

Week 3

This week the children have continued their learning of 3D Sculpture by making their Lion Statues out of clay, they look fantastic. They are drying at the moment, but next week we will be painting them.

Week 2

This half term we are learning all about how to make music digitally. After learning how to use 2Sequence last week, one of the tasks the children were set was to improve the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star using different digital instruments, sound effects, changing the tempo and adjusting the individual volumes.

Week 1

On the final day of last term the children were set a challenge to learn something about either Amy Johnson or Christopher Columbus and make, write or design something to show to the class as we will be studying these significant people this half term. The pieces of work that have been brought in from each classes have been amazing and we are astounded by the effort the children have put into their presentations.
