Night and Day

Week 7- This week in Reception the children have enjoyed a Christmas crafts morning where they were able to create lots of crafts with their parents. The children participated in painting salt dough decorations, creating paper baubles, writing letters to Father Christmas, enjoying a hot chocolate, playing games on Mini Mash and reading a Christmas story. 

Week 6- This week Reception have been performing the Nativity to other year groups and their parents and carers!! They have been incredibly brave and they did a fantastic job remembering lines for the play and all the words to the songs.

Week 5- This week in Reception we have been learning all about what we may find in the day time sky. The children have been using their art skills to create a day time scene picture. 

Week 4- This week in Reception we have been indeinfying what we can see in the night sky. The children have been making pictures using their artistic skills and lots of different materials to make their very own night sky. 

Week 3- This week in Reception we have been looking at the story ' The Night Pirates'. The children have been busy this week creating their own maps and were able to go on a treasure hunt following a map to find clues and the treasure. 

Week 2- In Reception this week the children are looking at nocturnal animals. The children this week had the opportunity to create their own fact file on a nocturnal animal of their choice. 

Week 1- This week in Reception the children are looking at what activities they may do in the morning and what activities they may do at night. The children were able to sort images of activities that may take place in the day and some that may take place at night.
