KS1 Teacher

 

The Governing Board of Bare Trees Primary School is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team. This is a permanent position within our vibrant and inclusive school community.

 

We are particularly interested in applications from experienced teachers, including those currently on or eligible for the Upper Pay Scale (UPS), who are ready to make a strong contribution to our school’s continued success.

 

We are looking for an experienced teacher who:

 

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 (and ideally a broader understanding of the primary phase);
  • Is highly-motivated and will develop an engaging, imaginative, and inclusive learning environment in which all pupils can thrive;
  • Will be an effective team member with high expectations of themselves and their pupils, demonstrating a strong commitment to raising achievement for all;
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team, contributing positively to whole-school development
  • Has a commitment and drive to improve outcomes for all pupils including those who are disadvantaged;
  • Has up-to-date knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies, and can confidently deliver adaptive teaching for a wide range of needs;
  • Brings experience of supporting EAL learners and ensuring every child can access the curriculum successfully;
  • Is committed to their own professional development
  • Is eager to contribute to the wider life of the school and model the values of Bare Trees Primary School.

Interviews and observations will be held w/c Monday 24th November and w/c Monday 1st December 2025.

 

To allow the Headteacher to assess your suitability for the post, you will be asked to take part in the following: 

 

  • A lesson observation. Time and date to be confirmed;
  • A suitable task to be confirmed prior to the interview;
  • An interview with the Senior Leadership Team.

 

Bare Trees Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks with statutory bodies. 

The school will carry out an online search as part of their due-diligence for all shortlisted candidates in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025 

It is an offence to apply for this role if you have been barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

 

Salary: M1 - UPS3

Hours: Full time, Permanent
