Poetry

The children in Year 2 have had a fantastic week of Poetry. We have focused on the poem 'My Crazy Mayonnaisy mum. We picked out new vocabulary, practiced the poem using actions and we also performed our poem to the other Year 2 teachers.

Apologies regarding the cancellation of the Mental health fair last week, we have kept the stress balls in a safe place and will be ready to sell them once the fair has been rescheduled, we will let you know once a new date has been confirmed.

The children have experimented with a range of drawing pencils to produce light and dark marks. Have a look at our work!

Week 2

In Science the children in Year 2 have planted sunflower seeds and are having a look at the different conditions that plants will germinate and grow in by observing over time. Watch out for our results over this half term!

This week we also had a go at dissecting mung beans and labelling the different parts to a seed, the children now know different seeds can grow into different plants.
