Our Talk for Writing Story

2D Shape Pictures
In Maths this week we have been using 2d shapes to make pictures. Take a look at what the children have created.

This week, our nursery rhyme is “5 Little Men”! We encourage children to sing this song at home with their families. Singing nursery rhymes helps develop language skills, memory, counting, and rhythm.
Sing together: Join in with your child and encourage them to sing along. Repetition helps memory and confidence.
Count the men: Use fingers or small toys to count along with the rhyme. This helps develop early math skills.
Act it out: Encourage your child to make hand gestures or movements for each verse. This supports motor skills and storytelling.
Talk about the rhyme: Ask questions like, “How many men are left?” or “What happens next?” to develop language and comprehension.
Make it fun: Add props like toy figures or draw simple pictures to make the rhyme interactive and engaging.
Our Stories
This week, we have been busy creating our own stories. They selected a character, a setting, and an object to spark their imagination. We hope you enjoy reading this small sample of their work!
