RWI Phonics lessons

 

Start off with Speed Sound lessons every day using the link below.

Films will show at the times below and be available for 24 hours.

 

Set 1 Speed Sounds at 9.30 am
Set 2 Speed Sounds at 10.00 am
Set 3 Speed Sounds at 10.30 am

Reading

 

Read a text of your choice and answer questions about the texts using your question bookmark. Which text will you choose? A newspaper, magazine, adventure story or a non-fiction text maybe? 

Where will you read your text? In bed, sat comfortable in your favourite seat or in your garden?

Pick and listen to a story of your choice. What did you like about the story? What did you dislike about the story? Use the language structure of explanation to explain why.

Writing

 

Find between 3 and 5 different objects in 3 different rooms in your house and write them in a list using commas.

E.g: In my bathroom I have shampoo, a toothbrush, towels and toilet roll.

Task

Play shops with someone in your house. Choose objects and label them with a price. 
Practise giving change to the person who buys the items. 
Eg. Toy car = 20p. Mum gives you 50p. How much change does she get? 
Challenge 1 - Prices within 20p. 
Challenge 2 - Prices multiples of 10 up to 100. 
Challenge 3 - Mixed prices up to 100.

Can you compare the similarities and differences between Amy Johnson and Christopher Columbus?
Read the sentences. Which sentences describe Christopher Columbus? Which sentences  describe Amy Johnson? Which describe them both? Record this in your book.
