Southport Trip

On Wednesday 21st, Thursday 22nd or Friday 23rd June Year 5 pupils visited Formby Beach and Southport Eco Centre. In the morning they visited the beach and learnt about coastal erosion, sources of energy and animal habitats. Then the children were given some time to play on the beach. In the afternoon they went to Southport Eco Centre where they had lunch, created a slide show using the facts they have learnt and then completed a quiz. This trip links to our summer term geography topic of 'The Environment' and our science topic 'Animals including Humans'.
