In Reception we celebrated Diwali throughout the week beginning 31st October 2016.
We learnt all about the story of Rama and Sita and how they fought the evil king Ravana.
In Maths we learnt about Rangoli patterns and why Hindus draw the patterns inside their houses during Diwali.
Using 2D shapes, we made our own Rangoli patterns.
In the afternoons we learnt all about diva lamps and got to create our own using saltdough.
