Bare Trees Primary School

Second half of Autumn

All of the children in Reception have been busy this half term. We enjoyed many different themed days. During Remembrance theme day, we learnt the importance of the wars and why we are thankful to soldiers who fought during this time. Below are the activities we completed during this day.

We also enjoyed ‘Endangered Animal Day’. During this day, we came dressed to school as an endangered animal. Reception had the opportunity to vote for an animal that we could adopt. The pupils chose a Panda.

During Advent theme day, we discussed the importance of Advent to Christians. We learnt what Christians do to prepare for Advent and Christmas. The children made advent calendars to use in their classrooms every day in the run up to Christmas.

During the last week of school the children were very lucky to watch the pantomime ‘Dick Whittington’. All of the children enjoyed the pantomime.

Our Christmas production was called ‘Lights Camel Action’. The children enjoyed learning the songs and actions. In Reception, we learnt a song a called ‘Life has Changed’. Thank you to all the parents and guardians who supported their child during the performance.
