Skipton Castle
Year 1 had lots of fun visiting 'Skipton Castle' as part of our history topic 'Queens' this term. The children found out about the different features of the castle and why it was built like that in the past. They had the opportunity to experience what it was like being in a dungeon and how food was prepared for Royal people. The children also learnt that the owner of the castle, Lady Anne Clifford knew Queen Elizabeth I.
