Activity:

Exploring 3D shapes in the environment 

How to do it:

Click on the link

Watch the lesson and join in 

Go on a 3D shape hunt in your home and garden.

Copy the shape table in your blue book or on a clean piece of paper. 

Record the 3D shapes you found on the sheet.

If you find it tricky: 

Use the 2D shape mat and name the 2D shapes. 

Go on shape hunt what 2D shapes can you find?

Draw them in your blue book and ask your adult to label them.

Challenge:

Were there any 3D shapes you found that were not in the table?

Research and find out the name of the shapes. Ask your adult to help you.
