The pupils were enthused to become aspirational engineers, by planning and designing their own invention, in order to solve a problem which they had identified. 

 

The following steps were thought about:

*Identifying a problem

*What problem the invention solves

*Devising a solution to that problem

*Illustrating the invention

*Explaining how the invention will work

*Who will benefit from the invention.
