Mental Health Awareness Week

Monday is the start of Mental Health Awareness Week and it's a chance for all of us to show kindness.

Let's celebrate the thousands of acts of kindness that are so important to our mental health both inside and outside of school.

Find out how you can get involved and show that #KindnessMatters by going onto the Wellbeing page on the school website.

2.6 Challenge

You may be aware that the London Marathon should have taken place on Sunday 26th April but was postponed due to COVID-19. This could mean charities losing out on donations, so the 2.6 Challenge was born.

To keep us active and connected, and hopefully have a little fun in the process, the Pastoral and Wellbeing teams are inviting Bare Trees Primary School staff to participate in this event and raise money for charity.

The idea is that school staff will challenge another member of Bare Trees Staff to a task based around the numbers 2.6. This could be something simple like ‘run 2.6km’, or as silly as ‘say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious 26 times’.

Some teachers are already busy taking part in their challenges. We will keep you up to date on the website and Twitter.

What is Mindfulness?

Miss Carling has made a video to explain what Mindfulness is on the Wellbeing page. Head on over to find out more.
