Thank you to those parents who attended the Phonics Screening meeting that took place on the 15th May. For those who were unable to attend and/or for those looking for more information and guidance, please find the presentation shown at the meeting below alongside a video with more detail. I have also uploaded some words to practise reading. Please remember the skill is to decode, not memorise.

The Phonics Screening Check is statutory for Year 1 pupils and all children will take the check, however the check will form part or your child's regular daily Phonics teaching. Please work with your child at home to support them with their reading but please don't allow your child to worry over the check.
