Red for Remembrance

Red for Remembrance

The School Council wanted to commemorate the soldiers who died during World War II. To do this, pupils came to school dressed in red and brought in a monetary contribution for the Royal British Legion. Throughout the week pupils were invited to purchase poppies which they were proud to wear on their uniform.

To highlight the importance of Remembrance Day a display was created within the infants in which each year group contributed to. All year groups made a poppy using different craft materials and throughout the activity each year group learnt the significance and importance of the red flower.
