30 Minutes

 

What to do:

To write a sentence that can be read by others.

 

How to do it:

Look out of your window. What can you see? Or use the image below. What can you see in the image?

Activity:

Finish the sentence. I can see....

 

Remember to use:

  • Full stops
  • Finger spaces
  • Fred talk the words as you write them down

 

Draw a picture to go with your sentence.

If your child finds that tricky:

The adult can write the beginning of the sentence then the child writes the word at the end to complete it. 

 

Challenge:

Use a range of irregular common words e.g. the, we, I, my, you in the sentence. Make sure the children spell these words correctly.
