Then move onto the activity

Activity:

Write down the sounds the adult says.

How to do it:

Use your blue home learning books to write down the sounds. E.g s- slither down the snake. The rhyme helps the children use the correct formation.

If your child finds that tricky:

If your child finds it tricky to hold a pencil, wet a paintbrush and do it on the floor in the garden or children use a ‘magic pencil’ and write it in the air.

Challenge:

Once the children have written sounds down. Encourage children to write words like cat, jump, thin, shop. Using Fred fingers.
