Autumn 2

 

How Should We Care About Others And The World ? - Islam.

 

This half term our children will be learning that some religions believe that serving others and supporting the poor are important parts of religion. Children will learn about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the many stories that show his generosity, care for others, justice, insight and other qualities.  Children will also research and learn about ‘inspirational leaders’ such as Dr Hany El Baba who started Islamic Relief in Birmingham. Furthermore, we will  learning  from muslim believers in our community what God is like and what stories tell believers about God and creation.

 

Autumn 1

 

In R.E this half term we will learning about why mosques are sacred places.

We will be learning about what the rituals that people do at a mosques. We will be learning about why mosques are so important to Muslims. We will also be discussing ways in which stories, objects and symbols are used in mosques and Hajj to show what Muslim people believe
