This half term in Religious Education we are learning about faith and how people express it in their everyday lives.
Today we explored the ways in which Hindus, Muslims and Christians name and describe the attributes of god. We discussed how Christians believe in the holy trinity, God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit. Next we discussed that Muslims believe that Allah has 99 names. Finally we discussed how Hindus believe that in one God, Brahman who has many different qualities and that these are represented by different Gods and Goddesses and their sacred images are called murtis.
After discussion we enjoyed various activities. We enjoyed designing geometric in the style of Islamic art. We designed a shamrock and used it to explain the holy trinity. Some of us enjoyed using crickweb to piece together jigsaws of some Hindu murtis
